And the album won't arrive on Saddle Creek or even Team Love, but rather Merge Records, marking Oberst's first partnership with the Chapel Hill, NC-based label.

Recorded this past winter in a temporary studio in Mexico's Valle Místico area alongside engineer Andy LeMaster (R.E.M., Bright Eyes), Conor Oberst features a "special band" assembled especially for the recording -- the aptly titled Mystic Valley Band. Essentially a group of unidentified musically inclined pals, the newfangled group will support Oberst as he unveils new tunes at Austin City Limits this September.

So I finally got to see 21 the movie today. First impressions were good seeing as the beginning song was mgmt. At first glance the movie catches your eye, it explores the semi untouched subject of gambling and addiction. Jim Sturgess (Ben) does an awesome job in his second film. i already had a crush on him from across the universe. This movie was pretty awesome, it kept me on the edge of my seat and landed me in the risky world of card counting, and dirty punishment. Basically the story is about Ben, a genius that doesnt have enough money to get into harvard med school. so he joins this underground club at his local college led by a professor (Kevin Spacey) , and learns to count cards. being the brain that ben is it comes easy like childs play. So ben decides to get into this card counting team so he can save up for Harvard med. eventually the plot thickens, a twist of love (loser gets the girl story), he loses everything blah,blah, blah.
point is- this movies badassity level is pretty high

All last year this game was extremely hyped up to be the next gen savior. i was pretty excited watching some trailers, etc. Then it came out and reviews started to circulate. most of the reviews said it wasnt that great, huge disappointment. so i shrugged it off and waited for my impulsive younger cousin to buy it. so i borrowed it from him, and am about half way through. its extremely fun. its no god of war, but i like the spiderman aspect that you can climb anywhere and do anything.
dont believe the bad reviews, this game is fun and is guaranteed to make you feel like a badass.

Horton Hears a Who, Religious?

I went and saw this movie opening day. I was really excited to see a more modern interpretation of this badass story.
First Thing I noticed was the flawless animation. It was really amazing.
One of the things that made this movie so funny and enjoyable are the characters and cast. The Voice of Horton, played by Jim Carrey is most notable. I havent heard him do such outrageous Fun Voices since ace ventura pet detective.

Now, for the story. it was a relatively short movie. 88 min runtime. The coolest thing i found out about this movie is that while watching it, i noticed that god was kind of forbidden in this story as the kangaroo (Carol Burnett) said, she doesnt believe any anything she cant hear, see, smell, or feel. after this i couldnt help notice all the religion and/or anti religion references, or inuendo's

What is happening to me!?

okay, so i've kinda always hated everytime i die, but fucking nasiema has pushed them on me and now i actually like them.  its kind of weird, that this late i would start getting into them, i used to like "the burial plot bidding war" but it was never number one.  now i cant get the song "champing at the bit"  out of my head, its so amazing at the end when Darrell Palumbo of glassjaw comes in, i get the chills, literally-and it happens with only a select few songs, but i was never expecting it to happen with fucking everytimeidie.

The Owl Bar

So Last night i went to the owl bar up at sundance.  it was extremely packed.  i had to keep asking myself, 'as i pass, do i give them the ass or the crotch?'.  I ordered many whisky sour's, they were overpriced as fuck, and mixed too weak.  after finally getting drunk i was outside with nas, and we met lots of random people.  we were outside sitting by the fire when we ran out of fire wood.  Nasiema suggested that we should burn a chair.

our newly made friend actually broke the chair and it was hilarious, when all the little suckup bitches came out and saw, we all blamed it on ben stiller.  then when the kid put the other chair in the fire the bartenders came out and started asking who did it, it was fucking hilarious.  we dont know what happened to our friend, but we left when the bartender called fire and safety.
